Le Tour de France 2010

Saddle up with Rob Geddes and Team Sydney Wine Centre as we take on the challenge of the 2010 "Le Tour de France".

On Thursday July 22, join the breakaway as you taste the wines from the villages the 2010 Tour will pass through.

Thankfully the organisers have seen fit to send the Tour through Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne and we even get to start with a Belgian and Dutch Beer.

"Le Depart" is at 7.00pm and the entrance fee is $50.

Wine Appreciation Course with Rob Geddes MW

Rob Geddes MW will host a 4 week Wine Apprecciation Course to entertain and educate your palate and mind. Learn about the different wine varieties, taste the difference between the wine regions in Australia and learn the art of food and wine matching, allowing you to read a wine list with confidence. The course runs for 4 weeks commencing Thursday July 29 from 7pm. The cost is $250 and this includes a copy of “A Good Nose & Great Legs” by Rob Geddes (RRP $50), the unofficial text for the course.

Cabernet Tasting

On Thursday May 13th taste your way through some of Australia's greatest Cabernets as Rob Geddes leads you on a tasting to decide if Cabernet still rules the Wine World.

Taste some of the great Cabernets produced from around Australia, including Domaine A and Howard Park.

WSET Accreditation

The Sydney Wine Centre recently achieved Wine and Spirit Education Trust Accreditation.

The WSET is the London based organisation and is the foremost international body in the field of wines and spirits education, with a suite of sought-after qualifications.

Keep an eye out for the WSET Level 3 Advanced Certificate to be held in July.

Cape Mentelle Tasting

Come along to a fantastic tasting with Robert Mann, head winemaker at Cape Mentelle, a leading producer of the Margaret River, and one of the first wineries to be established there.

On Monday October 26th, Robert will be showcasing his new releases along with a couple of wines you can't find anywhere else.

The tasting commences at 7.00pm and costs $30.
